ScholarEdit Academy was founded by Carlos Valiente, a scientific editor with over 12 years of experience in editorial management, scientific communication, and science evaluation. Throughout his career, he has directed publishing departments, coordinating editorial teams in areas such as information science, computing, medicine, education, biology, and nanoscience, among others. He has published articles, book chapters, and papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and has designed strategies that have enabled journals to achieve quality seals and international indexing. He is the founder of the Iberoamerican Journal of Science Measurement and Communication, the first Ibero-American journal dedicated exclusively to scientific communication, currently ranked Q1 in Scopus. He has worked with publishers and editors in Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and is a member of the European Association of Science Editors with certifications in publication ethics awarded by COPE.
